Fire Rated Lab Exhaust and Supply Air Ductwork
A major expansion at publicly-owned Credit Valley Hospital is adding 270,000 square feet of new construction. Firespray International licensee Square M Group provided an innovative Flamebar BW11 ductwork solution that saved significant space, time and cost in constructing new laboratory space and operating rooms.
Eliminating the need for a separate drywall enclosure or wrap enclosure around ductwork, Flamebar fire-rated ductwork saved at least six inches of space for laying out interference requirements in the ceiling areas. The fast-track, single-fix installation included Firespray’s stainless steel round fume exhaust ductwork for the laboratory and galvanized steel rectangular supply air ductwork for the operating rooms.
