Intumescent Butyl Tape

Intumescent Butyl Tape is a polymer-based extruded strip sealant, which in the event of fire will intumesce and prevent the passage of fire and smoke through the joints in which it has been used.

Intumescent Butyl Tape can be used between the flanges of Fire Rated Ductwork for sealing up to high pressure/velocity classification to DW143.

One year from the date of purchase if stored in dry, frost free conditions between +5°C and +30°C.

Shelf Life

12 months if stored below 30°C in dry, clean, frost-free conditions

Tested with Flamebar Fire Duct to ISO 6944 (1987) for up to 4 hours.
